ITFR - International Tennis Fellowship of Rotarians. Salerno, September 8-15, 2007

The “3rd ITFR World Tennis Championship – Rotarians’ Tennis Meeting” will take place in Salerno, Italy starting on September, 8 2007 and lasting the whole following week. The initiative origins from the will to promote and spread sport (and tennis in particular) and it will be a great chance for a meeting of Rotarians from all over the world who fondly play and follow tennis. Following the Rotary tradition this important event (taking place in Italy for the first time ever) will be a significant moment and an achievement for the Fellowship, and at the same time it will give the opportunity to support a specific international service project promoted by Rotary Club Salerno and its Onlus (no profit welfare organisation).

“Promoted by Rotary Club Salerno. Hosted jointly by the Rotary Club Salerno, Rotary Club Salerno Duomo, Rotary Club Salerno Est, Rotary Club Salerno Nord Est Valle del Picentino and the Rotaract Salerno (District 2100 – Italy)”.

I am very glad to inform you that the Director of the Library of the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum, Mr Alan Little, requested two copies of Beppe Russotto's book "Tennis Postcards", published by Arti Grafiche Boccia S.p.A. under the patronage of the ITFR on the occasion of the "III ITFR World Tennis championship". For its unique characteristic the book has deserved a place in the historic London library (www.wimbledon.org/en_GB/about/museum/museum_library.html).

The same request came from the "International Tennis Hall of Fame and Museum" of Newport - Rhode Island, to have the book included in the relevant section of the IRC Museum (Information Research Center; www.tennisfame.com/tennisfame.aspx?pgID=880 ).

These news make us particularly glad and proud because these requestes award the absolute prestige of a book created with passion by an expert as Beppe Russotto and by a quality publisher as Arti Grafiche Boccia S.p.A.; I would like to remind that the book was published exclusively for ITFR on the occasion of the latest World Tennis Championship taking place in Salerno and whose aim was fundraising for the "Africa Project" (www.rotarytennis.org).
